Savings Bank Service
From around 1959, The Saint Lucia government has provided
a small savings bank service for the out district and rural areas. This
longstanding service established
a means by which members of those communities could have easy access to a savings
institution. Since this concept was first introduced a number of banks and
cooperatives have increased their branches and presence through out the island.
However, the government savings banks service is still utilized in several
communities as provided through our sub accountant offices island wide.
